His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over the Burial Vespers on Good Friday, April 7th, 2023, and delivered his sermon holding the Relic of the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ.
In his homily, the Catholicos focused on Jesusā sacrifice for our sins and stated that with His death, Jesus triumphed over death. The Son of God came to this world not only to be among us but also to shed His blood for us. Therefore, the earthly life of Christ is not an end in itself but is centered around one purpose: the salvation of man. His Holiness exhorted the faithful to approach the tomb of Jesus laid in front of the altar, leave our sins and renew our lives. Ā Ā
