In 2014, The Catholicosate’s multifaceted mission was further expanded by the establishment of the Department on Armenian studies. The department aims at safeguarding the Armenian language, cultural heritage and identity in a diaspora situation through studies, publications, and conferences. A special committee under the supervision of His Holiness Aram I plans and supervises the work of the department.
