Under the patronage and encouragement of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, during the past few years, the Catholicosate of Cilicia and the National Archives of Armenia have embarked on a successful cooperation.. To further the collaboration, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed on Monday, February 6^th, 2023, in the Cilicia Library of the Catholicosate.

The signing ceremony was held between the representatives from the National Archives of Armenia: Sergey Sarukhanian—Acting Director, and Kohar Avakian—Advisor to the Director, and Arch. Shahan Sarkissian—Director of the Cilicia Library, and V. Rev. Fr. Vicken Dalkeledjian—Director of the Archives Department.

Subsequently, they met with His Holiness Aram I to receive his blessings. On this occasion, the Catholicos expressed his commendation and stressed the importance of the digitization of archives.
