The 19th Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches was held from January 30th until February 5th, 2023, in Cairo. With the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, H.G. Bishop Magar Ashkarian, Prelate of Peria (Syria), participated in the meeting on behalf of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia.
The commission’s work focused on “Aspects of Mariology: The Holy Virgin Mary in the Teaching and the Life of the Church.” The next meeting of the Commission will be held in the Vatican.
