On Saturday, March 13th, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over the Religious Council of the Central Committee held online and co-chaired by Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan and Archbishop Nareg Alemezian. Members of the Council, prelates and directors of different departments at the Catholicosate of Cilicia were present at the meeting.
The meeting commenced with a prayer offered by His Holiness for the soul of Bishop Meghrig Parikian and recalling his significant role in the mission of our church. Greeting the members, the Catholicos expressed his content with the high professionalism of the prelacies regarding their work in ritual, social services and managerial spheres.
Consequently, reports about the Armenian Theological Seminary, departments of Christian Education, Information and Communications, Ecumenical and Library were presented by their respective directors, followed by discussions. Similarly, the prelates presented matters related to their prelacies.
Concluding, the Catholicos welcomed the efforts of the church through its various departments and encouraged the use of online platforms to reach out to the faithful through the times of the pandemic.
