On Thursday, March 11th, 2021, the Regional Committee of the Hamazkayin in Lebanon visited His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in Antelias.
First and foremost, the chair of the committee congratulated His Holiness on his birthday wishing him prosperity, and emphasized that the relations between Hamazkayin and the Catholicosate have been close and consistent for the past 25 years. Subsequently, he presented details concerning the event honoring the 1.5 million consecrated martyrs of the Armenian Genocide on the occasion of its 106th anniversary, and expressed their gratitude to His Holiness for the sponsoring the event.
They also discussed matters concerning the cultural life in Lebanon and the activities and challenges of Hamazkayin. In turn, the Catholicos expressed his commend for their work and mission.
At the end of the meeting, His Holiness was presented with a work of art by artist Kevork Ulashian, a teacher at the Toros Roslin Academy of Fine Arts, for the Catholicosate’s collection of art.
