Good Friday Commemoration at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral Presided over by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I

On the evening of March 29th, 2024, a solemn service marked Good Friday, recalling the burial of our Lord Jesus Christ, at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias.

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over the service and delivered his message. Quoting 1 Peter 3:18 ā€œFor Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit,ā€ he stated that Jesusā€™ mission was humanity’s salvation through his crucifixion. He urged the faithful to kneel and seek salvation, preparing to welcome the miraculous Resurrection with renewed faith.

At the Burial Procession, His Holiness Aram I took the Relic of the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ and blessed the faithful. Following this, the faithful were able to receive a flower from the coffin, renewing their lives and cleansing all tribulations, sins, and sickness.
