A formal banquet in honor of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I was held in Dubai, graced by 400 attendees, including dignitaries like the Ambassador of Armenia in the UAE, Garen Krikorian, and the Consul General of Lebanon in Dubai, Assaf Doumat.

The event featured successive addresses from Christine Yepremian-Tossounian—member of the Diocesan Executive Council—Varoujan Nerguizian—Chair of the Representatives Assembly—Jirayr Habibian—Chair of the Diocesan Executive Council—Krikor Mahseredjian—Co-chair of the Catholicosate’s Central Council—HG Bp. Mesrob Sarkissian—Prelate of the UAE and Qatar. The speakers delved into topics such as the pan-Armenian mission of the Holy See of Cilicia under the leadership of His Holiness Aram I, His Holiness’ endeavors in promoting pan-Armenian unity and thinking, the diocesan revitalization initiatives, and the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church in Sharjah.

Catholicos Aram I delivered his address, highlighting the diocese’s accomplishments over the past decade under Bishop Mesrob’s office, focusing on the prelate’s efforts in the diocese’s initiatives and relations with the state and other communities, as well as shedding light on the 25th anniversary of Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church in Sharjah. Commending the clergy’s service to the UAE community, past and present, Aram I also acknowledged the construction of a new church and youth center in Dubai. Finally, emphasizing the importance of Armenia-Diaspora relations, His Holiness stressed the Holy See of Cilicia’s unwavering commitment to strengthening these relations and Armenia.

During the banquet, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I bestowed the “Cilician Knight” insignia upon Ara Keoseian, and the prestigious “St. Mesrob Mashdots” insignia upon Moushegh Bedirian, recognizing their years of dedicated service.
