His Holiness Catholicos Aram I delivered a lecture in Dubai on January 30th, 2024, focusing on “The Globalization and the Armenian Youth.”

The opening remarks were delivered by Rosaline Tashjian, who highlighted the relevance of the topic in the face of evolving global realities for Armenian youth.

In his speech, Catholicos Aram I underlined the cultural impact of globalization beyond the economic aspects. He outlined 15 points illustrating both positive and negative consequences of globalization, particularly regarding national identity and values. He encouraged Armenian youth to approach globalization with discretion, integrating positive aspects while preserving Armenian values. The importance of intergenerational dialogue was emphasized to address concerns and collectively strengthen Armenian self-understanding in the context of a globalized world.
