THE NEWLY APPOINTED COMMITTEE OF THE SHNORHALI CHOIR VISITS HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I

The newly appointed committee of the Shnorhali choir, headed by the conductor V. Rev. Fr. Zaven Najarian, paid a visit to His Holiness Catholicos Aram I on the evening of Friday, October 13th, 2023. During the visit, they presented their forthcoming projects and received the Catholicos’ pontifical blessings.

 

Expressing his filial gratitude, Fr. Zaven provided His Holiness with an overview of their upcoming plans. These included a concert dedicated to Sayat-Nova, an eminent 18th-century Armenian bard and ashough, and a collaborative concert with the “Narekatsi” children’s choir scheduled for Christmas. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to serve the Armenian Church through the choir and to contribute to the mission of the Armenian Church actively.

 

His Holiness commended their dedication and discussed the prevailing challenges and difficulties faced by the Armenian culture, urging the committee to foster environments that cultivate the Armenian identity. He also commended the volunteers and choir members for their selfless dedication and acknowledged their invaluable contribution to the mission of the Armenian Church.
