On Friday, August 4th, 2023, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received the head of the Chaldean community in Lebanon Bishop Michel Kassarji, representing His Beatitude Cardinal Louis Raphaël Sako, the Patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldeans, and Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, the President of the Haigazian University, respectively.
Bishop Kassarji provided Catholicos Aram I with insights into the political challenges faced by Archbishop Sako in Iraq. His Holiness underscored the importance of strengthening the Christian community.
Later in the day, the president of the Haigazian University Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian visited His Holiness. They discussed the situation in Artsakh, and the socioeconomic difficulties facing the Armenian communities in Syria and Lebanon, as well as issues pertaining to the ecumenical relations. Furthermore, they highlighted the unique role of the Haigazian University in Lebanon.
