Archbishop Paolo Borgia, Apostolic Nuncio to Lebanon, visited His Holiness Catholicos Aram I on Monday, August 7th, 2023. They discussed issues concerning the Lebanese presidential election and ecumenical relations between the Holy See of Cilicia and the Vatican.

His Holiness brought to the attention of the Apostolic Nuncio the current situation in Artsakh and conveyed his deep appreciation for Pope Francis’ and the Vatican’s solidarity with the Armenian people and Artsakh. With a keen understanding of the situation, Arch. Paolo Borgia assured the Catholicos that he would convey His Holiness’ concerns and expectations to the Vatican.
