The Artsakh National Assembly Speaker Tavit Ishkhanyan held a phone conversation with His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, and expressed his gratitude for His Holiness’ congratulations on his position.
Discussing the blockade, Speaker Ishkhanyan specifically mentioned His Holiness’s efforts towards the lifting of the siege and the meetings with ambassadors and representatives of the international community. Aram I reaffirmed the solidarity of the Holy See of Cilicia with the Artsakh people and assured him that he will continue to pursue justice and work towards ending the Azerbaijani blockade of Artsakh and strengthening the right of Artsakh people to self-determination.
