Following His Holiness Catholicos Aram I’s lecture on St. Nerses the Gracious at the Trinity College of the University of Toronto, on June 13th, His Holiness Aram I met with the General Secretary of the Canadian Council of Churches, Pastor Peter Noteboom.
They discussed matters concerning the ecumenical movement, and Pastor Noteboom underscored the significant role of His Holiness in the ecumenical movement. In turn, His Holiness shared his thoughts on the current status of the ecumenical movement. He reflected that adopting new agenda and approaches is essential, adding that it is necessary to take into consideration the challenges faced by the ecumenical movement and by society in general while practicing inter-church dialogue.
