The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in Lebanon commenced on Sunday, January 15^th, 2023, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Bsalim. With the Blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, H.E. Arch. Shahan Sarkissian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy in Lebanon, and V. Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian participated in the service.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an international Christian ecumenical observance, at the initiative of the World Council of Churches, and is kept annually around Pentecost in the Southern Hemisphere and between 18-25 January in the Northern Hemisphere. It is presented as the perfect time for Christians to recognize that the divisions between our churches and confessions cannot be separated from the divisions within the wider human family.
