The defence of Artsakh is a critically urgent pan-Armenian imperative today; tomorrow may be too late.

The Armenians of Artsakh have repeatedly expressed their collective will for self-determination.

The protection of the right of self-determination of the Armenians of Artsakh, and the support of their socio-economic well-being is the sacred duty of every Armenian.

We should mobilize our fellow Armenians in defence of Artsakh.

Therefore, we appeal to the prelacies of the Holy See of Cilicia, and to all Armenian communities, organizations and structures, each in harmony with their local contexts, to:

– re-articulate their solidarity with the people of Artsakh as they struggle for their self-determination.

– raise the issue of the Artsakh blockade in all circles effectively as a pan-Armenian priority.

– initiate fund-raising to meet the immediate needs of the people of Artsakh.

We are in constant contact with the Artsakh authorities and continue our contacts with proper authorities of the international community to end the Artsakh blockade and secure humanitarian assistance. The Central Council of the Holy See of Cilicia is closely following the developments around Artsakh. More than at any time, the unity of the Armenian people is urgently imperative.
