On Saturday, November 5th, 2022, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received ecumenical representatives from Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, USA, and Egypt, who had arrived in Lebanon to hold consultations on the Christian presence and witness in the Middle East and to voice their support for the churches of the region through the Middle East Council of Churches (MECC).

The delegation has held discussions with the MECC and given the rich ecumenical experience of His Holiness, they had expressed desire to meet with the Catholicos, who briefed them on the recent challenges faced by the ecumenical world and shed light on the cooperation between the churches of the region. In this regard, His Holiness emphasized the importance of strengthening the collaboration between the churches and expanding the educational and humanitarian services.

Following the meeting, the delegation was offered a tour at the Catholicosate.
