THE “SHNORHALI” CHOIR COMMEMORATED THE 107TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE WITH A CONCERT OF NATIONAL SONGS

Under the high auspices of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, on Sunday evening, April 24th, 2022, the “Shnorhali” Choir of the Catholicosate of Cilicia, led by V. Rev. Fr. Zaven Nadjarian and accompanied by Cilicia Band, held a concert of national songs in commemoration of the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, in Liqaa, Rabiew.

At the end of the concert, His Holiness took the stage to express his high appreciation of the efforts made by the choir and band members during these economically challenging times, congratulated the conductor for the accomplishment, and commended their beautiful performance of a repertoire of national songs, which have served as agents of Armenian Identity. Finally, the Catholicos invited the audience to join the choir to sing “Hayer Miatsek” (Armenians, unite!), underlining the imperative of actualization of the lyrics in the collective life.
