His Holiness Catholicos Aram I extended a congratulatory letter to Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of his re-election as president of France.

In his letter, the Catholicos underlines the decisive role of France in the current geopolitical situation, and states that France is called to reiterate its role in defending human rights especially in Europe, the Middle East and Caucasus.  

Commending President Macron’s advocacy of the Armenian Cause, he called upon France to continue its support for the independence of Armenia and the protection of its sovereignty.

Regarding Lebanon, the Catholicos expressed hope that Lebanon continues to be a priority for the president, especially during the recent critical times.
