Following the Divine Liturgy celebrated on Sunday, December 12th, 2021, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received a delegation from the World Council of Churches (WCC) composed of Ms. Carla Khijoyan, Rev. Dr. Abraham Wilar and Rev. Yoleni Rebelais.

Ms. Khijoyan is the Programme Executive for the Middle East at the WCC, while Rev. Dr. Wilar and Rev. Rebelais are Programme Executive and Programme Assistant respectively for the Interfaith Dialogue and Collaboration at the WCC.

The aim of the visit was to hear His Holiness’ input on Christian-Muslim dialogue and cooperation. The Catholicos gave a brief overview of the matter underlining the efforts of the WCC in the field, and offered his insights on the priorities of the Christian-Muslim dialogue not only in the Middle East, but also in Western societies, today.
