On Friday, November 5th, 2021, a homage was paid to the late Metropolitan Damaskinos of Andrianople at the Orthodox Centre of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Chambésy, Geneva. On this occasion, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I’s message was read by Prof. Teny Pirri-Simonian.
Having closely known the late Metropolitan, His Holiness shed light on his contribution in the ecumenical and in particular in the inter–Orthodox theological dialogue, specifically in the 1980s, simultaneously appealing to the Orthodox families to strengthen their internal unity and cooperation.
