On Saturday, August 15^th, 2020, His Holiness Aram I received the visit of the Executive Members of the Tekeyan Cultural Association Founders’ Body composed of Ani Latchinian-Magarian and Dr. Hovig Vartanian, headed by the chairperson Hagop Kassardjian.

They discussed the activities and future projects of the Association, as well as the concerns that the Lebanese Armenian community faces. In this regard, the members stated that both the Tekeyan Cultural Center and Vahan Tekeyan School suffer greatly due to the Beirut explosion.

In turn, His Holiness Aram I underlined the imperative of spirit of unity and collective commitment, and the urgency, in restoration efforts of the Armenian community in Lebanon, because as in the past, today as well, the community plays a pivotal role in the Armenian Diaspora.
