During the recent meetings of three World Council of Churches (WCC) commissions in Geneva, Prof. Dr. Nora Bayrakdarian, representing the Holy See of Cilicia, was elected as vice moderator of the Commission of the Churches on International Affairs. At the session, she delivered a lecture titled “Global Governance: Challenges and Emerging Geopolitical Trends.”

Prof. Dr. Bayrakdarian, a professor in International Relations and International Law at Lebanese University and the American University of Beirut, also heads the International Relations Department and the Commission on Political Science at the Doctoral School at Lebanese University. With prior experience on the WCC central committee and the Commission on International Affairs, she brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. Additionally, she is a member of the Lay Council of the Central Council of the Catholicosate of Cilicia.
