Beirut Governor Marwan Abboud, and Beirut Mayor Abdallah Darwish, accompanied by Beirut Municipality Council member Aram Malian, visited His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, on Thursday, February 29^th, 2024.

Welcoming the visitors, His Holiness commended the Beirut Municipality’s work amid socio-economic challenges. He highlighted the active role of the Armenian community in the Municipality work, underlining that St. Nichan Cathedral and the Prelacy of the Armenian Church are located in the heart of Beirut.

The Governor and the Mayor expressed respect for the community’s efforts in revitalizing Beirut and discussed prospective plans for the city during the meeting.
