THREE YOUNG PRIESTS PARTICIPATE IN A STUDY VISIT OF THE ORIENTAL ORTHODOX CHURCHES AT THE VATICAN

At the invitation of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and with the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, V. Rev. Fr. Avedik Der Garabedian, V. Rev. Fr. Kevork Karageozian, both serving as assistant of the Armenian Theological Seminary Dean, along with and Rev. Fr. Hrant Kevorkian, the pastor at Sourp Sarkis Church in Michigan, represented the Armenian Church,Ā Holy See of Cilicia at the Oriental Orthodox Churchesā€™ study visit to the Vatican, from January 22nd to February 2, 2024.

 

The study visit aims to deepen their understanding of the Catholic Church, in this regard, theĀ participants visited various Dicasteries of the Roman Curia, as well asĀ the Secretariat of StateĀ andĀ the Secretariat of the Synod. Additionally, they visitedĀ various educational institutions. Since the study visit coincided with the 20th Assembly of the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Oriental Orthodox Churches, the attendees also participated in several Commission sessions and activities, as well as theĀ Papal Audience. Notably, Fr. Avedik delivered a sermon during the Divine Liturgy at St. Vlas Church in Italy, on January 28th, 2024.
