During his pontifical visit to the dioceses of UAE and Qatar, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I held meetings with various diocesan bodies and institutions in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, respectively. These included meetings with chairs and members of the Armenian National Representatives Assembly, the Diocesan Executive Council, the board of trustees of Armenian schools, as well as principals, teachers, local parish committees, and choir members.

At these gatherings, HG Bp. Mesrob Sarkissian extended welcoming remarks, providing an overview of community efforts and emphasizing the prelacy’s commitment to community revitalization.

The main focus of His Holiness’ address centered on the imperative of bringing the church closer to the people, along with the rejuvenation of diocesan bodies, particularly in fostering greater youth involvement. He emphasized the ongoing changes and new challenges, stressing the need of reassess and adjust our organizational structures to the evolving context. His Holiness also commended the progress made in educational endeavors.

In Abu Dhabi, Deputy Chair of the Executive Council Ardo Hampartsumian, and in Dubai and Sharjah, Chair of the Representatives Assembly Varoujan Nerguizian, also shared brief remarks during the meetings.
