Invited by the Prime Minister of Qatar His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I this morning has departed for Qatar. The visitation program of His Holiness will be extended over three days and will include meetings with the Prime Minister and high ranking officials. His Holiness will also meet the Armenian community of Qatar.

 

The delegation accompanying His Holiness will include the Prelate of the UAE, Qatar and Oman, HG Bp. Mesrob Sarkissian; Lebanese Armenian MP and the Head of the Armenian Parliamentary Bloc, MP Hagop Pakradouni; the Co-chair of the Central Council of the Catholicosate, Mr. Krikor Mahserejian; the Chair of the Armenian National Representatives Assembly of the Diocese, Mr. Varoujan Nerguizian; and the officer of the Armenian Church’s inter-church and inter-religious relations in the Middle East, V. Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian.
