ACUSA VISITS HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I

Members of the Armenian Church University Students Association (ACUSA), headed by their spiritual advisor V. Rev. Fr. Zaven Nadjarian, visited His Holiness Catholicos Aram I on the evening of Saturday, December 16th, 2023.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Fr. Zaven conveyed appreciation for His Holiness’ unwavering support in their endeavors. He highlighted ACUSA’s dedication to the pontifical declaration of 2022 and 2023, dedicated to the year of the Armenian diaspora, using it as a guiding principle for their activities.

Taking the stage, Serouj Khandjihanian, the chair of ACUSA, also delivered a speech, emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in the diaspora.

In turn, His Holiness emphasized that ACUSA members actively contribute not only to the Lebanese and Lebanese Armenian communities but also to various communities, particularly the Armenian communities throughout the diaspora. Finally, he bestowed his pontifical blessing upon ACUSA and extended an invitation to other youth to join the association.

Concluding the event, Serouj Khandjihanian, who had climbed Mount Ararat in August, presented His Holiness with water, a handful of soil, and a stone collected from the mount’s summit. Khandjihanian also offered to His Holiness the flag of the Holy See of Cilicia, which proudly waved on the peaks of the Arakadz and Ararat mountains.
