With the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, HE Arch. Nareg Alemezian and V. Rev. Fr. Bsag Tepirdjian participated in a two-day international conference held from November 30^th to December 1^st, 2023, commemorating the 850th anniversary of the passing of St. Nerses the Gracious (Shnorhali). The conference was organized by the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome.

The conference convened prominent scholars and clergy from diverse backgrounds, engaging in two days of profound discussions on the monumental legacy of St. Nerses Shnorhali.

Arch. Nareg read HE Arch. Anoushavan Tanielian’s paper titled “The Theology and Ecumenical Affairs of Nerses Shnorhali,” then proceeded to provide an overview of the extensive ecumenical relations of the Holy See of Cilicia during the leadership of His Holiness Aram I.
