HIS HOLINESS MEETS WITH THE US SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

During His Holiness Catholicos Aram I’s pontifical visit to the Eastern United States, as previously reported, he was honored with an invitation to serve as the Guest Chaplain of the US House of Representatives. His Holiness delivered the opening prayer before the session, a prayer he composed. In this prayer, he highlighted that “more than 100,000 Armenian refugees who recently were forced to leave Nagorno-Karabakh, their centuries-old homeland, (…) face huge difficulties and uncertainties.”

Before the session, His Holiness held a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson. During this meeting, they discussed the issues concerning Artsakh and the Lebanese presidential election.

On that same day, His Holiness received the attached certificate of recognition from the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
