A FORMAL DINNER IN HONOR OF HIS HOLINESS IN KUWAIT

In honor of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, the Executive Committee of the Armenian Prelacy in Kuwait organized a formal dinner, on Saturday, May 13th, that brought together the Kuwaiti Armenians around the Catholicos to conclude the five-day pontifical visit with a lovely evening. Heads of Christian communities in Kuwait, ambassadors, official guests, Kuwaiti Armenians, and representatives of Kuwaiti Armenian organizations were present at the dinner.

The evening commenced with the national anthems of Kuwait and Armenia and Talar Kalemkerian-Daghlian’s opening remarks. It included speeches by the Pontifical Vicar V. Rev. Fr. Bedros Manouelian and the head of the Diocesan Council Dr. Krikor Tovmassian, where they expressed their gratitude for the pontifical visit, as well as live performances.

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in turn delivered a heartfelt speech and expressed his commendation, especially to the Pontifical Vicar, as well as to all those serving the church and the community. He concluded with Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan’s words stating men die but their work remains immortal.
