On Sunday, March 19th, 2023, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received the Archbishop of Maronites in Cyprus Salim Sfeir, at the Armenian Prelacy of Cyprus.
Arch. Sfeir talked about the Maronite community in Cyprus and shed light on the close and fraternal relations between the Maronite and Armenian churches. His Holiness, in turn, highly welcomed these relations and emphasized the importance of strengthening them. He then briefed on the mission of the Armenian Church and presented the current socioeconomic situation in Lebanon and the contribution of the Armenian Community in facing challenges.
Subsequently, His Holiness paid a reciprocal visit to the Maronite Prelacy accompanied by his pontifical delegation, including the Armenian Prelate of Cyprus Arch. Khoren Doghramadjian. During the visit, His Holiness presented the Maronite Archbishop with a Pectoral Cross and received a gift from him.
Finally, The Archbishop held a dinner in honor of His Holiness.
