With the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, V. Rev. Fr. Barouyr Shernezian—Dean of the Armenian Theological Seminary, participated in the KAICIID’s Fellows Programme for promoting a culture of interreligious dialogue (IRD) and fostering intercultural cooperation on institutional level, which took place on March 17th and 18th, in Malaysia.

Fr. Barouyr presented the mission of the Holy See of Cilicia and focused on that of the Seminary, stating that it doesn’t only foster the formation of future priests and intellectuals but also of ambassadors in interreligious, intercultural, and ecumenical relations. Subsequently, he reaffirmed the confidence of the Catholicosate in the IRD and its readiness to contribute practically to it.

At the end of the two-day conference, they planned on expanding the cooperation of institutions in the IRD field and developing programs that aim at establishing IRD between educational institutions.
