Representatives from the three Armenian political parties, which were established more than a century ago to fight for the rights of the Armenian people in their homeland against the atrocities of the Ottoman Empire and which still function in the Armenian diaspora and Armenia: the Social Democrat Hunchag Party; the Armenian Revolutionary Federation; and the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (Ramgavar), met with His Holiness Catholicos Aram I on April 4th, to discuss the commemoration events of the Armenian Genocide..
This year, a gathering will be held on the eve of April 23rd, organized by the three political parties, as well as a Divine Liturgy will be conducted on the morning of April 24th, at St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in Antelias, followed by an Intercession service for the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide in front of the Armenian Genocide memorial-chapel.
