Presided by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, the World Assembly of the Armenian Church, Holy See of Cilicia, will be held on December 7th till 8th, 2022, in Antelias.
The World Assembly is the supreme legislative body of the Church and convenes quadrennially. Delegates, elected by the Diocesan National Representative Assemblies, prelates as ex-officio delegates, as well as two delegates from the Monastic Order come together to review the overall work of the prelacies and the Catholicosate and to set the priorities for the next period.
The Assembly will commence with the pontifical message of His Holiness, followed by presentation and discussion of the Lay and Religious Councils’ reports. The Assembly will also dedicate its plenaries to discuss issues pertaining to Armenia, Artsakh and Armenian Diaspora. Finally, the new Central Council will be elected.
