During the World Assembly, convened on December 7-9, 2022, presided by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, His Grace Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate of the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Church in the USA, made the following announcements:
1. In Syria, the Prelacy will sponsor the tuition fees of 100 Armenian students attending the Armenian schools of the Prelacy, for the 2023-2023 academic year.
2. Mher Der Hovhannesian, Western Prelacy delegate, will sponsor the tuition fees of 100 students attending the Karen Jeppe Armenian College in Aleppo for the 2023-2023 academic year, in memory of his late wife Satig Der Hovhannesian.
3. In Lebanon, the Prelacy will sponsor 100 Armenian students attending Prelacy schools.
4. On the occasion of the New Year and Christmas, the Prelacy allocates 100 000 USD to be distributed to 1000 Lebanese Armenian families in need.
Bishop Torkom concluded his announcement stating that His Holinessā example and guidance plays a pivotal role in shaping their responsibility towards their mission. Ā Ā
In turn, His Holiness acknowledged the contributions and underlined their importance in strengthening the community. He also underlined that the is no such thing as Us and You as we are one, aiding and encouraging each other. Ā Ā Ā
