The tradition of visiting His Holiness Aram I to receive his blessings before the beginning of the Sunday school year resumed after a short interruption due to the Pandemic.
On Sunday, November 28th, 2021, following the Divine Liturgy, a group of students, their parents and the teachers, headed by the director of the Christian Education Department V. Rev. Fr. Zareh Sarkissian, gathered in the Main Hall of the Catholicosate.
Janine Tanielian Markarian, the director of the Sunday School, delivered a speech where she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and honor to meet with the Catholicos, stating that His Holiness has always granted special attention to the school. Next, the children recited prayers and hymns, followed by His Holiness’ heartfelt address.
His Holiness Aram I highly applauded all the efforts of the community gathered around the Sunday School, especially during the hardship that Lebanon and the world is going through, and encouraged them to continue with the same passion in order to equip the new generation with Christian values.
