With the blessing of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I and the assistance of the Catholicosate of Cilicia, St. George church and Homenetmen playground in Aleppo are under renovation with donations from the Armenian Prelacy of the Eastern United States.

Following the Syrian Crisis, the revival of the Armenian Communities in Syria has become a matter of priority for the Catholicosate of Cilicia: the Catholicos has encouraged the revival of the community during his various pontifical visits and through many restoration projects. In this regard, His Holiness had facilitated, among other projects, the renovation of the Karen Jeppe Armenian College by the churches sponsored of Holland and via the MECC.
