HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I MEETS WITH THE WCC ACTING GENERAL SECRETARY IN GENEVA

On Monday, November 1^st, 2021, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I received the acting general secretary of the World Council of Churches Dr. Ioan Sauca, in Geneva. In attendance was Prof. Teny Pirri-Simonian, the Catholicosate’s Ecumenical Representative in Switzerland.

Dr. Sauca outlined the challenges faced by the WCC and the ecumenical world. He also briefed on the preparations for the forthcoming General Assembly (representatives from the Catholicosate are also participating in the GA preparatory committees), while His Holiness shared his viewpoints on the matters.
