PONTIFICAL PRAYER ON THE OCCASION OF CATHOLICOS ARAM I’S 26TH ANNIVERSARY OF ELECTION AND CONSECRATION

On Sunday, June 27th, 2021, the Armenian Church celebrated His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia’s 26th anniversary of election and consecration. Coinciding with this occasion, a special pontifical prayer was held at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Cathedral in Antelias, Lebanon. The clergy took part in the prayer where they beseech the Lord to give the Pontiff strength and health while also keeping the Holy See of Cilicia firm from all tribulations.

Right Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered sermon where he took into reflection the Catholicos’s life and stated: “His Holiness has accomplished many things over the past twenty-six years in several spheres of our church’s and nation’s life, including in the area of ecumenical relations and inter-religious dialogue. As a man of faith and action, vision and commitment, Catholicos Aram I is an exceptional leader. He gave a new emphasis and broader engagement to the pan-Armenian mission of the Holy See of Cilicia”.

On behalf of the clergy and people, Father Tinkjian wished long pontificate rich with new achievements.

Across the globe, all local churches under the jurisdiction of the Holy See of Cilicia also conducted the Pontifical prayer.
