On Monday 12 August 2013, former Lebanese President and current leader of the Lebanese Phalangist Party, Amin Gemayel, met with His Holiness Arm I at his summer residence in Bikfaya.

During the one-hour meeting they talked about the situation in the Middle East and Lebanon and discussed the situation in Syria and the problems of Christian communities in the region.
