On Friday, March 1st, 2019, a group of United Armenian College elementary students visited His Holiness Aram I to celebrate Poun Paregentan (the Eve of the Great Lent). They were wearing different costumes and had brought with them the traditional Poun Paregentan treats.

His Holiness welcomed the children in the Main Hall of the Catholicosate and enjoyed the songs and poems they recited. He chatted with them about the spirit of the feast and commended their act of keeping the tradition alive, and blessed them.
