His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over the Palm Sunday celebration at the Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia in Antelias on Sunday, March 24th, 2024. Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian celebrated the Divine Liturgy and led the traditional procession, with children, young adults, and all other faithful holding olive branches and following the clergy and seminarians.

Following the procession, the faithful gathered in front of the Main Hall of the Catholicosate to hear His Holiness’ pontifical address.

Addressing the faithful from the balcony of the main building, His Holiness Aram I warmly welcomed them, with a special mention of the children. He expressed joy at the gathering despite the challenges of daily life, emphasizing the importance of strengthening faith and love in the presence of Christ. His Holiness reminded everyone of Christ’s exhortation for parents to allow the little children to come to Him and encouraged parents to continue bringing their children to church, underscoring their significance as the future of the nation.

After the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness Aram I received the children in the Main Hall, blessing them and presenting them with gifts in honor of the occasion.
