UPON THE INVITATION OF HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I, A CONFERENCE ADDRESSING AZERBAIJAN’S GENOCIDAL POLICY AGAINST ARMENIANS IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL IN ANTELIAS

Recent online sessions of the Cilicia Analytical Platform, under the auspices of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, focused on preparations for a conference addressing Azerbaijan’s genocidal policy against Armenians. The conference is set to take place in April, on the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, at the Catholicosate of Cilicia, in Antelias, with the participation of around 25 experts in history, law, and politics from Armenia, Artsakh, and the Armenian diaspora.

The conference aims to explore avenues for holding Azerbaijan accountable for the committed genocide through international legal means. Topics will include Artsakh’s identity, the nature of the conflict, negotiation processes, ongoing genocide committed by the Turkish and Azerbaijani alliance, the various perpetrators of the war declared against Artsakh, Baku’s military crimes, collective return of Artsakh people, revisiting self-determination rights, and documentation of historical and cultural heritage by international organizations for the purpose of preservation.
