On Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, and His Holiness Catholicos Aram I had a meeting in Doha, Qatar. The discussion between the Prime Minister and His Holiness included issues related to the Armenian community in Qatar, the role of Qatar particularly regarding the war of Israel on Gaza and the presidential election of Lebanon, and interfaith dialogue.

His Holiness was accompanied with a delegation composed of the Prelate UAE and Qatar, HG Bp. Mesrob Sarkissian; the Lebanese consul to Qatar, Shant Vartanian; the Co-chair of the Central Council of the Catholicosate, Mr. Krikor Mahserejian; the Lebanese Armenian MP and the Head of the Armenian Parliamentary Bloc, MP Hagop Pakradouni; and the Chair of the Armenian National Representatives Assembly of the Diocese, Mr. Varoujan Nerguizian.
