HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I VISITS HIS BEATITUDE PATRIARCH RAPHAËL BEDROS XXI

On Wednesday afternoon, December 13th, 2023, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I visited His Beatitude Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI of the Armenian Catholic Church at the Catholic Patriarchate.

 

Accompanying His Holiness were HE Arch. Nareg Alemezian, HE Arch. Shahan Sarkissian, director of the Cilicia Museum, V. Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian, director of the Information and communication department, and V. Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian, director of the Middle East section of the Ecumenical Relations.

 

Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI, accompanied by Msgr Kapriel Mouradian, Vicar General of the Patriarchal Diocese, Msgr Nareg Naamoyan, Patriarchal Exarch of Jerusalem and Amman, Rev. Fr. Mesrop Topalian, director of media department and parish priest of Anjar and Bourdj hamoud, Rev. Fr. Nareg Mnoyan, Rev. Fr. Aram Aprahamaian, Rev. Fr. Garabed Kelenjian, Rev. Fr. Garabed Tateosian, warmly welcomed the guests in friendly and brotherly atmosphere.

 

His Holiness conveyed his heartfelt congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the priestly ordination of the Patriarch, reminiscing about their shared history since their first encounter in Los Angeles in 1995.

 

In turn, Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI expressed gratitude for the warm wishes and emphasized the importance of strengthening the relations between the two Churches.

 

The discussions delved into issues related to Armenians, the Lebanese Armenian community, the Diaspora and inter-community cooperation. A shared commitment to strengthening national unity and rallying around common values and aspirations was emphasized.

 

As the meeting concluded, the spiritual leaders exchanged good wishes, marking the occasion of the Christmas and the New Year.
