Ani Tchatalbashian Yacoubian and her children Aram and Anita, the family of the benefactor late Karnig Yacoubian, visited His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023.
His Holiness highly commended the generous donations of the Tchatalbashian and Yacoubian families throughout the years in support of the mission of the Holy See of Cilicia, as well as the homeland and our nation.
It is noteworthy that Kevork Tchatalbashian, the father of Ani Yacoubian, was the main benefactor during the construction of the main building of the Catholicosate in 1968 which also serves as the residence of the pontiff (veharan). Inspired by the devotion of their father, the Yacoubian couple became the benefactor of the renovation of the pontifical building in Bikfaya, as well as the construction of the new episcopal residences there.
The meeting was followed by a luncheon with the Catholicos.
It should be noted that the official opening of the newly constructed episcopal building in Bikfaya will take place on July 22nd.
