On Friday evening, June 2nd, 2023, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I led the procession consisting of clergy, headed by Homenetmen Laval band and scouts to Sourp Kevork Church in Laval.
With the Hrashapar hymn, His Holiness entered the Church, where Canonical prayer was held. In attendance were members of the Central Council of the Catholicosate, the Executive Council of the Prelacy of Canada, the prelacy board of trustees, representatives of the Armenian Community organizations, and the faithful.
H.E. Arch. Papken Tcharian welcomed His Holiness and expressed his gratitude for his pontifical visit. Subsequently, he invited the Catholicos to address the faithful.
His Holiness offered his pontifical blessings and underlined the imperative of unity with the homeland, church, and the Armenian cause, stressing that this unity should be preserved as a source of loyalty, strength, and power, He underlined that unity guarantees our future. Speaking about living as Christians, His Holiness emphasized that the Bible should be lived with its values, principles, and teachings.
At the end of the ceremony, the faithful had the chance to meet His Holiness and receive his blessings.
