At the initiative of World Council of Churches, a week of prayer for Christian unity is observed annually worldwide on the second week of January.

In Lebanon, the opening ceremony of the prayer week was held on Sunday evening, January 16th, 2022, at St. Elias and St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Church in Beirut, in the presence of spiritual and community leaders.
