HIS HOLINESS ARAM I WILL ATTEND AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON JERUSALEM

This evening, 16 January, 2018, His Holiness Aram I left for Cairo, Egypt, to take part in an international conference on Jerusalem, organized by Al-Azhar, the center of Sunnit Muslim community. The purpose of the conference is to express solidarity in respect to Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine.

 

The conference is taking place under the auspicious of president of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas. More than 300 religious, political and state high-ranking representatives will attend the conference.

 

His Holiness Aram I will have an intervention in the first session of the conference.

 

His Holiness is accompanied by His Eminence Sebouh Sarkissian, the Primate of Tehran and Rev. Bedros Manouelian, the director of the Information and Communication department of the Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia, in Antelias, Lebanon.
